Worst taxi company ever.
Worst taxi company ever. 1st he told me to walk as it wasn't far. Then he charged me an extra $10.00 to the trip as it wasn't a long ride and told me it was taxes. He then said he had been waiting for a job for 6 hours . That's not my fault. The persons name is ( ALEX 25) on his ID card. He needs to get a different job if he cant make money at the CHCH airport. Never again will i travel with this company.

Don't use Mainland taxis
I caught a Mainland taxi home from Christchurch airport this evening. The guy did not have the meter running and told me the screen was not working when I asked. He took me a very indirect route home despite my telling him the best way to get there. He then charged me $58 for the trip. I had taken the same trip to the airport that morning with another company during rush hour traffic and it cost me $30. It has never cost more than $35 from my house ever.
When I questioned the price he told me that airport runs are always more expensive. I said the same trip had cost me $30 that morning so he dropped it to $50 'just for you especially'.
Do not use this company! Total fraud!

Told me I could have walked
I gave it a 1 because there is no zero. I asked the driver to take me to Jucy Snooze. He told me I should walk. That had had waited 3 hours for this fare. So What? I am a 62 year old woman, it was dark and I did not know the way so of course I could not walk. How rude. Do Mainland Taxis know how rude their drivers are to visitors to Christchurch. I will not use Mainland again as I have found out that you do not have to use the first in the taxi queue. Do not use Mainland

Got taxi from airport late at night. Was chatting small talk and driver asked me about my sex life. Shut up when I told him that was private and inappropriate. Women and girls definitely avoid this company. Should have got his number and reported but was tired and just wanted to get the hell out.

Got a taxi from the airport to Cathedral Junction today it cost me $55.80 my colleague came with another company at the same time his was $46.00. Driver 155 ran a red light and pulled into the entrance to the junction and almost got taken out by the tram. I didn't even see a meter... it was only on reading these reviews that I realized the price was steep for an airport run. The main anomaly which made me check on line to see the rep of these guys was when I went to pay by eft pos. No POS machine at all just an old fashioned paper zip zap machine which need a credit or debit card. "Hopefully have a machine next month" ?????

I definitely wouldn't travel with these guys again. Got into the airport this morning and got told $30 max and only a $5 extra fee due to airport etc which was fine but he took me long way home so was more and whacked on an extra $10 instead of 5 after getting in the car and it starting at $3.50. Will not use them again or recommend!!

I ended up in a Mainland taxi from Christchurch Airport last night heading home. I travel fairly often so am very aware of a 'normal' taxi fare to and from my house to the airport. On arriving home I glanced at the meter to see a fare on the high side of normal straight off the bat. I didn't think too much of it as taxis these days always seem to tack an extra $15 on for trips from the airport and blame it on airport taxes, and handed over my Visa card. The taxi driver proceeded to use the payWave process, but just before he did I saw on the payment screen a cost of $44.70 when the meter clearly read $42.70.
The transaction went through and I asked for a copy of the receipt... He um'd and paused. Then said "payWave doesn't give receipts..." I questioned this as I had never heard of this before and asked if the transaction had gone through because I needed a receipt and he said yes, all went through fine, then suggested that he would have used the other machine if he knew I needed a receipt!? Then assured me that my bank statement would read $42.70 as on the meter.
Not in the mood for an argurement I got out but checked this as soon as I stepped into the house and as I had suspected, $44.70 was charged!
Fraud... Or honest mistake.....?..
All I can say is, be aware of your transaction amounts before handing over your cards for payWave!!! It is very easy to end up with a situation like this and I wonder how many times this has happened... Mistake or not.

I had Tiperi who claimed his GPS had been swiped. So he gives me the map book to find my destination which is a 15 minute cab drive from the airport. He takes me on a round trip past Riccarton Raceway to Canterbury St instead of the way I said he should go. Meter was $46.80 at destination. I gave him $30 and a reminder that I'd not come down with the last shower. I felt that that was too much anyway as the cab fare was probably only $20.

I won't use these guys again and suggest you don't either. This was overtly dishonest in my opinion. Do they think we are stupid!

Poor angry driverr reg DHH 922 sped up change lanes into another cars path, and cutting off traffic then abuses the other driver he cut off. The company obviously has no quality programme or let alone assurance that the passengers they carry are not subject to this driving behaviour. NOT SAFE TO TRAVEL WITH THIS TAXI COMPANY
