Company Details
Description
Impact Tea is an artisanal loose leaf tea brand based in Queenstown New Zealand. Impact Tea is a community focused and sustainable tea brand
Impact Tea is straight from tea tree to tea cup, it’s different from other tea brands. The tea comes from single estate tea plantations who focus on sustainability and the community. They all support the pickers and nature. So when you take a sip of our handpicked loose leaf tea you’re actually doing some good.
Tea sourced from one of ours small tea plantationsis a perfect example of the Impact Tea difference. They’ve worked hard to improve the quality of life in one of the least developed areas of Sri Lanka. English lessons are provided to pickers and their families and Doctors are brought into a valley that has no medical facilities. Pickers also share in the revenue from tea production.
Sharing profits is repeated at Forest Hill, pioneers of ‘Ceylon Wild Tea’. There’s more similarities too. Tea Estates all have a demonstrated commitment to sustainability and the environment. They tackle soil erosion, plant trees and shrubs, restoring the environmental balance in areas of outstanding natural beauty for future generations. The approach is one of working in partnership with nature, not exploiting it.
The tea is all hand-picked. It’s small batch tea that holds an incredible story as well as taste. Those stories are set to be shared via Impact Tea’s social media profiles and websites, so buyers of Impact Tea can see the positive effect their purchase has on the local community.
As for the taste, tea from Amba Estate has won numerous awards and is served in top restaurants, such as Claridges in London, where they are famously fussy about their tea. Sourcing pure Ceylon tea in New Zealand is particularly difficult, so Impact Tea is filling a gap in the market at the same time as helping people that need it.
We like to say doing good has never tasted better. Every sip of Impact Tea connects the drinker to the picker and helps improve their lives and the area they live in. It’s the ultimate win-win.
Impact Tea is now available for order online from www.impacttea.com
