Company description
Thieves' Tea is an artisanal loose leaf tea brand based in Queenstown New Zealand.
Thieves' Tea is named after an age-old tea-pickers practice that's known to produce the best quality tea. Plucking the finest tips, pressing them by hand, then sharing the brew, and the days stories with those they care about most. In other words, Thieves' Tea is about doing things the right way.
We love this ethos, because we believe it's important to do things right, too. For us, that means knowing exactly where all our tea is grown, and who grows it. It means giving our expert pickers the respect (and pay) they deserve. And it means sharing with you the story of how this tea came to be.
Thieves' Tea is straight from tea tree to tea cup, it’s different from other tea brands. The tea comes from
Tea sourced from one of ours small tea plantations is a perfect example of the Thieves' Tea difference. They’ve worked hard to improve the quality of life in one of the least developed areas of Sri Lanka. English lessons are provided to pickers and their families and doctors are brought into a valley that has no medical facilities. Pickers also share in the revenue from tea production.
Our tea Estates all have a demonstrated commitment to sustainability and the environment. They tackle soil erosion, plant trees and shrubs, restoring the environmental balance in areas of outstanding natural beauty for future generations. The approach is one of working in partnership with nature, not exploiting it.
The tea is all hand-picked. It’s small batch tea that holds an incredible story as well as taste. Those stories are set to be shared via Thieves' Tea’s social media profiles and websites, so buyers of Thieves' Tea can see the positive effect their purchase has on the local community.
We like to say that doing good has never tasted better. Every sip of Thieves Tea connects the drinker to the picker and helps improve their lives and the area they live in. It’s the ultimate win-win.
Thieves' Tea is now available for order online from www.thievestea.com

Loose leaf tea that tastes amazing
Truelly the best tea I've ever experienced. It's become my daily ritual preparing and enjoying a hot brew with a moment to myself. The lemongrass tea is a favourite with its relaxing and refreshing qualities, but the forest hill silver tips are the ultimate indulgence.
