Job vacancy Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role: NZL | Sr Infrastructure Engineer Rate: $850 Location: Auckland Contract Duration- 6 months duration Description: A relevant tertiary qualification or infrastructure engineering experience. 3+ years’ experience with proven level of expertise within an infrastructure engineering role. Extensive experience in Active Directory, DNS, Windows Server OS, WSUS, VMware vSphere, Certificate Management Knowledge and experience in maintaining different cloud providers. Excellent knowledge of server and storage platforms A team player who is self-driven and motivated Ability to liaise and communicate with all levels of staff within IS&T and across the business Possess strong attention to detail, and highly organised and reliable. Driven to constantly learn, develop new skills, and share these capabilities – importantly you have a growth mindset. Experience in these systems are favourable Linux, Citrix VDI, Firewalls (Forigate, Palo, Cisco) Able to work autonomously and confidently within multi-rack datacentre’s. Optional Skills: Competent analyst and problem-solver. Able to understand business requirements, translate these requirements into effect solutions Excellent communication with an ability to interact with different stakeholders, both non-technical and technical. Able to manage multiple work requests concurrently, self-manage your workload and manage expectations with stakeholders. Work well under pressure and use judgement in problem solving. In this dynamic business, there is no ‘average’ day at Humm group! To summarise though, you will: Work closely with selected business units on new and existing projects Maintain system performance and availability, via monitoring, proactive work, patching, completion of BAU tasks. Provide level 2 and level 3 Infrastructure support to all business units. Utilise your skills and experience to offer improvements and solutions to the infrastructure Mentor and support junior staff in the team, so supporting them to reach their potential.
