The Company

My client is an NZX listed company that operates within the manufacturing and construction industry. They have seen consistent growth over the past 25 years and continue to see strong results. With large open plan offices and plenty of parking on site, my client is based in East Tamaki and is looking for someone who enjoys a family environment but has a corporate mind.

The Role

As the Accounts Payable officer, you will be reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager and working in a wider team of 11 based in New Zealand, servicing their NZ and AU operations. You will cover the full function in a high volume environment where you will process foreign and local currency as well as PO matching with a bit of a mix as this role also touches on fixed assets. While Accounts Payable is the core of the role we are looking for someone who has capability to pick up some fixed assets and WIP work to support the wider team.

Your duties will include:

Duties

• Manually processing invoices into the ERP system
• Matching to PO's and chasing approvals
• Posting journals
• Accruals
• Reconciliations
• Coding of invoices
• Supplier queries
• Capitalising assets on the system
• Ad hoc tasks

Skills & Experience

Due to the complex nature of this business and the various entities you will have:

• Strong communication skills
• 3-5 years experience doing AP
• Exposure to stock environments (ideal not crucial)
• Experience using medium to large ERP's such as Microsoft Navision or D365
• The ability to Multi-task as this is a varied role
