The opportunity:
Our client is seeking a senior Finance Leader to be responsible for the day-to-day management of their organisation's finance function. You will lead a team of 10 accounting and finance professionals.
Working closely with the GM you will be the driving force behind maintaining the organisation's financial integrity and sustainability through strategic business planning, financial reporting and systems management.
Where will your key accountabilities sit?
It is a given that you will have a relevant tertiary qualification in commerce/accounting and are CA qualified.
You will have worked at a senior level for 5+ years and have successfully led a finance team by leading by example and fostering a high-performance culture.
Naturally you are systems savvy including advanced Excel skills and have worked with a range of accounting software and are someone who can utilise them to their best advantage.
Ideally you have worked in dynamic environments and have gained an understanding of change management impacts and have the ability to identify change requirements.
Having worked alongside or part of a SLT is advantageous as is a knowledge of the government sector.
You will need to bring the following personal attributes to the table: a clear and effective communication style, problem solving and analysis abilities, strategic thinking, an inherent mindset for delivering quality outcomes, commercial acumen, along with personal drive, resilience and a lead from the front style.
