The Company:
My client is a well-known retailer across the FMCG category. Due to their ongoing growth and development, they have a requirement for an Assistant Accountant on a fixed term basis with the possibility to go permanent.  This is the ultimate role if you want an accounting career in FMCG.

The Role:
You will report to the Senior Management Accountant and ensure the timely and accurate update of financial information and reports to internal stakeholders.

Main responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly journals and management accounts.
• Update the daily cashflow model.
• Daily bank reconciliation
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset register
• Prepare tax returns
• Assist with the budget process

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Strong New Zealand experience as an Assistant Accountant.
• Manufacturing/FMCG or Retail experience
• A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred
• Efficient, organised, and excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Top notch MS Office skills including Outlook, Excel (to an intermediate level)
