Asbestos Surveys

About the product
Surveys - Management, Refurbishment and Demolition

The purpose of a management survey is to non-intrusively identify the presence and location of any asbestos in a building which could give rise to a risk of exposure to respirable asbestos fibres. This includes ACM that could be damaged or disturbed during normal occupancy or maintenance works. The information collected from a management survey is used to develop an asbestos register and Asbestos Management Plan (AMP).

The purpose of a refurbishment or demolition survey is to locate all asbestos containing materials (ACM) within a building, or within the fabric of the building, before any refurbishment or demolition work commences. ACM may be hidden behind fixed walls, floors, ceilings etc. These surveys are fully intrusive and may involve exposing parts of a buildings structure to confirm presence/absence of ACM. Because of their intrusive nature, these surveys should only be conducted in unoccupied areas.
