ContinuityNZ's goal is to ensure that businesses are prepared for any potential emergency situation. Recent studies conducted by the Business Continuity Institute have found that ICT failures and natural disasters are the two most commonly cited reasons for invoking a business continuity plan. Additionally, other disruptions, such as supply chain failures, power and utility disruptions, operational process breakdowns, human negligence, fires, floods, flu pandemics, civic disorder, and governance failures, can significantly impact an organization.
