Joining this 50-year-old Hornby based, Canterbury company you will have the opportunity to get on board as part of their expansion into a new 300sqm warehouse. You will be able to have input in to how it will be set up and how it will function on a daily basis.

While this sole charge role is what is currently on offer, a career potentially awaits the successful applicant in either inventory management, sales or engineering. Sound like you?

What are you going to be responsible for in this role?

• Receiving inwards freight
• Picking, packing and dispatching outwards goods
• Maintaining packaging supplies
• Maintaining freight tickets & Consignment notes
• Maintaining a clean and tidy store
• Some product assembly
• Complete rolling stock-takes
• Lead annual stock-take
• Purchasing and inventory management responsibilities

What are you going to need to bring to the role?

• An appetite to learn and build a career
• A willingness to take ownership (of inventory)
• A good level of physical fitness (some heavy lifting involved)
• Numerical accuracy 
• Good verbal communications skills
• An eye for detail / high standards

The following will give you an advantage in terms of standing out to be considered for the role:

• Previous warehouse experience
• Computer literacy
• Full Driver Licence
• An interest in the engineering sector
• Forklift licence/experience
• Experience with barcodes
