We have a unique Asset Specialist opportunity in public transport for an electrical engineer experienced in light current.

This role will be responsible for the monitoring of a wide range of electronic assets on heavy vehicles. As an Asset Specialist you will provide expert advice to managers around continuous improvement, troubleshooting, and new technology rollouts.

This is a varied role in which no day is the same. It would be ideal for someone who enjoys working out in the field across multiple projects and who wants to contribute to a strong, positive team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

• Being the subject matter expert on system assets and operations to meet customer service needs.
• Tracking and reporting on performance with recommendations for improvements
• Working with vendors to assess options for future development of products
• Facilitating solutions to service problems with internal and external suppliers to effect timely solutions
• Supporting the development and delivery of appropriate internal and external end user training

You’ll bring to this role:

• A relevant qualification in electrical engineering
• Previous work experience with electronics and electrical devices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to explain technical information to people with less technical knowledge
• Proven problem solving and analytical skills
• The ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team
