About the role:
In this role you will have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of tax obligations. This will suit a technically minded Tax Accountant who wants to gain experience in many different areas of Tax reporting. In this role you will collate information for and prepare and file monthly GST, AIL, NRWT, RWT, quarterly FBT and fortnightly WHT returns, ensuring the returns are submitted for payment and filed with the IRD in accordance with legal requirements.  You will need to have the ability to work in a highly technical role and maintain up to date knowledge of legislative change as it affects the role.

Duties:

• Prepare accurate, transparent statutory reporting on time.
• File monthly GST, AIL, NRWT, RWT.
• File quarterly FBT and fortnightly WHT returns.
• Assist in preparation of Income Tax calculations for the Consolidated Tax Group.
• Prepare related monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Proactively work with the group entities to ensure tax compliance.
• Take on such other activities as needed to advance Financial Control.

Skills & Experience:

• Prior Tax Accounting experience a must.
• Preferably a tertiary qualification in accounting.
• Will be a member of CAANZ or equivalent.
• SAP Experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and Word skills.
• Knowledge of Tax Lab and GST software an advantage.
• Able to relate well with people at all levels.
