Job vacancy Senior Project Manager

A reputably branded main contractor with a huge depth of construction expertise and project delivery history and are now looking for a high performing project manager. They are a Tier 2 Builder but with the backing of a Tier 1 contractor. They have several new contracts awarded over $80M across healthcare, industrial and multi storey residential.

Reporting into an Operations Manager, they are looking for a senior project manager with the ability to lead a complex industrial build project. Being an expert in your field with a superior project performance history, you will lead the site team throughout project delivery.

Typical Duties:

• Preparing programmes
• Forecasting, Budgets, managing costs and providing financial reporting
• Driving the construction programme
• Managing project performance including operation and resource requirements, risk management and reporting of performance
• Adherence to OSH
• Providing technical and contractual support
• Team management and mentoring
• Ensuring all documentation meets contractual, operational and statutory requirements
• Quality management
• Sub contractor, consultant and supplier management

Your background will include:

• 10+ years previous Project Management delivering vertical projects in excess of $50M preferably in the NZ market
• Tertiary and/or trade qualifications
• Strong track record of delivering projects at a high quality and on time
• Strong understanding of construction techniques
• Excellent working knowledge of programming and reading plans
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be proactive, graft through the challenges and handle a fast-paced working environment

Salary: $230 - $250k
