We are seeking a trade qualified diesel technician to join an independently owned truck service centre in the Taranaki region.

Recognised as one of the top franchise truck workshops in New Plymouth, the workshop specialises in heavy transport including any make or model of truck, trailer, or construction equipment and is the service and parts dealership for a number of well-known brands.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintenance of a broad range of trucks, trailers, and construction equipment
• Major and minor repairs including COF repairs and accident repairs
• Using modern electronic diagnostic tools to diagnose and repair faults
• Operate from the workshop and attend breakdowns and call outs when required

Skills sought

• A recognised heavy automotive qualification
• Experience working on late model trucks and / or construction equipment
• Sound technical skills and mechanical ability
• Experience using electronic diagnostic equipment
• Fault finding ability
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work as a team and assist other technicians
• Valid driving licence
