Our client seeks a skilled Payroll Consultant to join their Wellington Customer Service Support Team. As a leader in cloud-based payroll solutions in New Zealand, they have consistently delivered high-quality services despite technological changes over the years.
This position involves daily front-line helpdesk support via phone and email, as well as implementing payroll solutions for new clients.
Ideal candidates will:
- Have a minimum of 2-3 years of comprehensive payroll experience
- Exhibit strong communication skills
- Enjoy interacting with clients
- Be able to quickly solve and articulate payroll issues
- Have a thorough understanding of the Holidays Act and payroll legislation
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Be interested in working with clients from diverse business sectors
- Possess a team-oriented, proactive attitude
- Thrive on challenges and be eager to learn and grow within a dynamic, friendly team
You will collaborate closely with the support team and engage with clients daily via phone and email. Occasionally, onsite visits to clients will be necessary. This role is varied, ensuring no two days or clients are the same.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of payroll and payroll legislation and be able to clearly explain complex concepts to clients.
Knowledge of the Holiday Act and other payroll regulations is crucial. Nonetheless, full training on the payroll software solution will be provided.
