I also took advantage of the Baby Show special and am really upset by the experience. Angela complained that my baby's head was too small ( he was 10 weeks old) and that my toddler was difficult ( he is 2!).
She had absolutely no empathy and did not even try to engage with them. The images are dreadful - no smiles and most not even looking at the camera! I am utterly devastated especially after spending so much money. At the viewing Angela was rushed and totally focused on getting us to spend as much as possible. She was constantly trying to sell us other shoots and skipped through the photos very quickly. When I compare the photos to the others I have had done they are of very poor quality. Honestly I got better images of my baby on my phone! When we expressed our dissatisfaction she totally ignored us. I would never ever recommend this company - dreadful photos and double the cost of anywhere else!

The worst experience I ever had. I will never recommend Angela Scott studio to anybody. Please STAY AWAY from this studio, and you will save your time, money and your baby will be happy!

After the babyshow, where I left my details, I got several emails with the special offer from Angela Scott photography (something like "the package worth NZ$1000"). I just ignored those emails. Further I got a phone call where Angela explained that she is doing baby photos for her website and she is inviting me and my baby for a free photo session. She described that, as a result of the session, I will receive the free “artpiece” and I can decide if I want to buy any additional photo. She sounded very nice and positive, so I decided why not to try.

When I, with my 3 months old baby and my mom, arrived, the first question Angela asked is what my budget is!!! I responded that I will decide if I want to buy any photo when I see those. The photo session itself was about 5 minutes long – Angela did about 10 shots, my baby start crying and she paid no attention. I didn’t like Angela’s attitude – she behaved as my baby or me are absolutely not important. Also I should mention that the photos style was not unique. It was just photos on the blue background, nothing special.

Angela showed me photos she made on a big screen and said that I will have one for free and another costs NZ$300. To be honest, there was no photoshot Angela made worth this price. I liked just one photo where my baby looked nice but I looked odd. So Angela proposed to “photoshop” me for an additional NZ$50. She spoke fast and almost pushed me to do the purchase. When I honestly responded that I believe that NZ$350 plus GST! is too much for one photo of this quality, she said that if I don’t want to buy I know where the door out is!!! This was absolutely UNPROFESSIONAL and DISCUSTING behavior of her!

I felt sorry that I spent my and my baby’s time. I hope I will never ever see Angela again. I am living in New Zealand for three years so far and have never faced so unprofessional behavior and “profit oriented” attitude before .

Finally to mention – I did newborn session for my baby with the other photographer, she came to my place, did absolutely gorgeous photos, my baby loved her and was nice, smiley and peaceful and I paid just NZ$475 for an absolutely amazing unique 20 photos of my baby alone, and with me, my husband and us together!

So I recommend avoiding Angela studio – it is overpriced for a quality it propose, and customer service is awful.

Would definitely not recommend , I had pregnancy photos taken as a freebie through the baby show and feel absolutely ripped off. $1500 for 6 photos and a frame and that was after "discount" originally would've been well over $2000. Apparently the frame cost is $400.. And it's tinny and crappy looking.. I should've said no and walked out but felt very pressured into buying. She said this is what it usually costs for professional photos, the editing was horrible, my pregnant tummy line was taken out and they blurred out my belly button so much that it puts your eyes off. I wish I had just gone to Chelsea Haworth.
