With a full work pipeline, this contractor is now ready to bring on board an additional strong senior QS to work on one of their $50M projects in the pipeline. 

The Role:

Reporting to the commercial manager, you will be responsible for administration of subcontractor contracts, cost estimating, contract negotiation, monitoring subcontractors to ensure they are undertaking works in accordance with contractual obligations, analysing costs, variations, final accounts, client meetings, resolving issues, team management and liaising across multiple stakeholders.

Your background

You will need to be a degree or diploma qualified Quantity Surveyor with 10+ years’ experience on New Zealand projects over $30M in value gained with a Tier 1 or 2 main contractor. You will need to have a positive attitude and be a team player. Your ability to manage relationships with colleagues, project managers, engineers, architects, sub-contractors and tradespeople will allow you to become a valued member of the project team. You will be working for another main contractor at present and be looking for enhanced career prospects and with opportunity to work on larger sized challenging projects.

Remuneration:

Salary $150K - $170K
